ART EDUCATION
I live outside Burlington, Vermont now, with my
husband, Gideon and nearly 2 year old son Avi,
and a yellow lab Lena. I earned my MEd at
Saint Michael's college with a focus in Arts in
Education. and I work part-time so I can spend lots
of time with my baby.
Three mornings per week, Avi comes with me to a
small organization called HomeBase, where I teach
art for adults with disabilities. We have a sweet sunny
studio in Burlington where we create art of all kinds, as
well as long term friendships and skill building.
One morning a week, Avi and I teach a drop-in arts program for children 0-5 years old for BCA- Burlington City Arts ( the city's art department).
I also teach pottery and printmaking for the BCA, and all kinds of kids art camps for them all summer. I also teach some Jewish children's programs for my synagogue.
I have a glass fusing studio in my basement, where I sometimes go play. I also take IPHone photos of little lovely things I find along the way. And garden. And make healthy food for my family and friends.
For fun, I like to kayak, swim, camp, cross-country ski, and bake beautiful, tasty and healthy treats.
