BIOMEDICAL PHOTOGRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS
I am working at New England Retina Associates
in Connecticut. My main role is performing
diagnostic imaging of the eyes, While this does
not directly reflect what I studied in college.
(Biomedical Photographic Communications),
I am still composing images, though now for a diagnostic purpose instead of aesthetic reasons. Having knowledge of composition helps me decide how to compose images to be sure that I am focusing on what the doctor wants to see in the pictures of the eyes and retina. Also because of my photography background I have a good understanding on how to properly expose and color balance images, so any pathology appears as the correct color in photographs, and images are not too bright or too dark. Having a background in art also helps if the need to use post-processing software to edit any of these photos arises, or if I need to put them into presentations that are both easy to understand and pleasing to the viewer.
Thanks for thinking of me!
